| BUGZ OFF!™ Insect
Deterrent - NEW &
IMPROVED FORMULA - using power blend of pure essential oils.
This is the ONE that really truly works on all those annoying critters (mosquitoes, chiggers, flies, and fleas). This stuff even kept the chiggers off when nothing else would! No DEET formula using only natural ingredients and a proprietary blend of pure essential oils all well known and proven for their ability to deter bugs. Proven to work against mosquitoes - even in Minnesota - as well as flies & fleas. Also very good for keeping those flies & fleas away from your dog. I wouldn't recommend use on cats because Tea Tree is toxic to cats - so I'm told. However, I've noted in Valerie Ann Worwood's book, The Complete Book of Essential Oils & Aromatherapy, she gives several recipes and ideas for cats using Tea Tree Oil. As I understand it, she is one of the most reliable sources and acknowledged guru on aromatherapy. My recommendation, however, is DON'T USE ON CATS!. Our dog, Abby, has always had red and bleeding ears every summer from the flies. We used all sorts of different treatments and none worked for very long. Abby's ears I'm proud to say are not even touched by flies or fleas and she stays outdoors a large part of the summer. We'd love to hear from you about how this spray/lotion has worked for you - annrn@neb.rr.com. Thanks! We've also added a few new oils that WebMD has highly recommended as being more effective (and safer) than DEET. Our spray and lotion now have a pleasant lemon fragrance and the essential oils used in this product are also well-documented for their antibacterial properties, as well as being uplifting. Read these articles: http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dvbid/westnile/resources/uprepinfo.pdf Why NOT to use DEET: West Nile worse than expected!! Read this - http://my.webmd.com/content/Article/93/102438.htm?printing=true See also this news release: And two more from WebMd: http://my.webmd.com/content/Article/108/109069.htm?printing=true Research from the New England Journal of Medicine, vol. 347, No. 1, July 4, 2002 also is good reading and indicates Lemon Eucalyptus Oil as an effective bug deterrent. As always when trying something new please test your sensitivity by putting a small drop on the inside of your arm. Essential oils are potent and although very beneficial can cause reactions in some people. 8 oz. spray bottle - $13.00
Note: Do not get in eyes. Do not apply on face or hands of small children. Do not spray directly on or near face. Instead, spray in palm of hand and spread on face and neck. Do not use on children less than 3 years of age. DO NOT USE ON CATS!
