Mountain Fir Organic Bar Soap
Mountain Fir Bar Soap - make with pure essential oil blend of conifers and certified organic ingredients
Clean, fresh, true essential oils of crisp, clean conifers. New pictures up tomorrow!
DESCRIPTION:
I spent hours doing market research and came across Thymes Douglas Fir. Smells really good, but it isn't the real deal essential oil of Fir with the inherent beneficial properties attributed to this family of essential oils. It also did not smell like the true balsam fir trees we have had for Christmas trees over the years. It was and is a blend of synthetic fragrances that contain phthalates. I knew I had to make a soap to match our Men's Fresh Day line of products - and it turned out even better than I had hoped. I really do think you will like it and it will also be part of our Holiday lineup of products.
An addition to our handmade, hand-cut soap, using the same 100% certified organic ingredients of extra virgin olive oil, shea butter (30%!) and coconut oil which makes for a luxurious, lather loaded soap that makes skin hydrated all day. Mix and match this soap with our other Balsam Fir men's products - recently changed to reflect a reformulation of the essential oil blend which includes the essential oils noted below. Mountain Fir is the name we've decided on and we are in the process of changing the labels on the other products. We love the added nuances in this new blend.
Our oils and butters are certified organic through QAI.

Pure essential oils used in this soap include organic Balsam Fir, Siberian Fir, Black Spruce, Cypress Leaf, and Silver Fir.
DESCRIPTION:
True blend of pure essential oils from different evergreens.
We spent a week (well almost and our first vacation in 7years - check it out on our Facebook page) at a lake in Minnesota this September (2012) and there were fir trees all around our deck that overlooked the lake. I experienced the most amazing calm and peacefulness and I could not stop smelling the air! I attributed it at first to the beautiful view of the lake and then remembered my research into the essential oil that exudes from these trees. Interestingly enough, I was also reading Kurt Schnaubelt's new book, The Healing Intelligence of Essential Oils, at the same time where he discusses some studies done on loggers. So - I knew then that I had to make a soap using fir needle. I ended up working with two different types of fir needle and I added some Scotch Pine to round out the scent. It really did turn out every bit as good as I had hoped! I really think you will like this one.
INGREDIENTS:
Certified organic shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii), saponified oils of certified organic coconut oil (Cocos nucifera), certified organic extra virgin olive oil (Olea europaea) wild-crafted essential oils of balsam fir (Abies balsamea), silver fir (Abies alba), certified organic scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris) and siberian fir (Oleum abies siberica).
SAFETY/USAGE:
This is such a nice blend of essential oils, but everyone is different and we know that there are those of us with tender, delicate and sensitive skin and there are those who could use pine tar without problems (well, maybe not). I love this soap and use it liberally. With the high percentage of certified organic oils and shea butter, this soap will have a greater degree of moisturizing, protecting and hydrating properties. But please use a soap dish container that has drainage holes - this will assure that this already very hard, long-lasting bar of soap will last much longer.
TESTIMONIALS/REVIEWS:
From Eric H., who helped me develop this new blend with his helpful comments along the way. "Finding truly organic soap – where even the oils are certified organic – is like spotting a deer in dense woods: rare, elusive, and oh-so-satisfying when you finally succeed. Ann at Wingsets… She nailed it. This mountain fir scented soap is everything I’d hoped for and more.
From the moment you crack open the box, you're transported. The rich, authentic scent of pine and fir hits you like stepping into a pristine forest in the North Country. Ann didn’t just “use essential oils”; she carefully curated them to recreate the fresh, woodsy experience of nature itself—no artificial, overpowering pine imitation here.
In a world where “organic” is thrown around as casually as campfire stories, Ann’s unwavering commitment to purity is a breath of fresh air. Every single ingredient, down to the oils, is meticulously chosen for its organic integrity. Finding soap made with truly junk-free oils is almost impossible—but Ann made it happen, and you can tell.
This soap has been a game-changer for my skin, especially with how much time I spend outdoors. It’s rare to find something this pure, where you don’t have to compromise on quality or performance. For me, reducing chemical exposure is a way of life, but most “organic” options still fall short—except this. It’s more than soap; it’s a slice of nature you can hold in your hand.
And don’t let its purity fool you—this soap lathers beautifully and lasts well. Ann managed to balance the rugged authenticity of organic craftsmanship with the everyday practicality of a good clean. It’s gentle yet effective, a rare combination.
Discovering this soap was like stumbling upon the perfect trail: worth every bit of effort. It’s more than just a cleansing product; it’s a testament to what real organic living should look like. If you’re someone who values authenticity, quality, and a touch of the wild, this Wingsets soap will become your go-to. It’s proof that the hunt for the real deal always pays off."
We would very much appreciate any testimonials on feedback from those who have tried this very nice, luxurious bar of organic soap. Please feel free to leave a comment on our Facebook page here. Thank you!
