Moisturizing, clean smelling, handmade soap
Yes, we know what Northwood’s pine really smells like. I grew up in West Virginia and in the 60’s we would swim each summer in a river that was fed by a stream coming down from the mountains. The riverbed was surrounded by tall pine trees. I remember the water being exceptionally cold, but I loved the clean, fresh scent of the pine trees and the forest. I guess that’s one of the reasons I love this soap.

Handmade, moisturizing soap!
Another classic – for those of you who might remember – incense from the 60-70’s. Still very popular today and a really nice clean fragrance that is popular with everyone. We’ve added pure dark certified organic cocoa for coloring and coincidentally this is a very effective skin-healthy ingredient having antioxidant properties.

Artisan crafted, handcut soap
Grandma’s antique lilacs – always outside the window each spring, as close as close can get to that revered fragrance. Light, subtle and nothing brings you closer to spring than this. This is truly one of our top sellers and doesn’t sit for long on our shelves. We offer you a large 4 oz bar full of moisturizing lather - and it keeps your bathroom smelling - well like lilacs!

Handmade bar soap!
My very best friend, when I lived in Memphis, had a courtyard with an overhead trellis that was covered with beautiful jasmine every summer. We’d sit under there with our cups of coffee and share our troubles, hopes and dreams. I’ve tried to find a fragrance oil that was even close to that real fragrance. This is it! Now, I’m not saying it’s as good as the real thing – my very favorite essential oil (really it’s an absolute) is extremely expensive and although worth it, is not a practical use of this oil – hence we’ve used the closest thing we could find.

Handcrafted, handcut bar soap!
Man-sized and long lasting.
We’ve been told, and we’ve read and researched that the Aniseed essential oil that scents this soap is both a mask of human scent for hunters and an attraction to fish for fishermen. This has a licorice scent and is pleasant in and of itself with its own beneficial properties from the 100% pure essential oil.

Handmade, cold process bar soap
Ah – nothing like the scent of true honeysuckle. Although considered an invasive weed in the south, I miss it here in Nebraska. Knowing what honeysuckle SHOULD smell like, I searched for a few years before I finally found a fragrance that actually smells like honeysuckle on a soft summer’s evening. You’ll love it. Plus we’ve added Turmeric for it’s skin-healthy benefits plus it makes a natural yellowish color just as I remember honeysuckle.

A classic and powerful synergy of real frankincense and myrrh powders with enormous skin benefits. We no longer use the essential oils of Myrrh and Frankincense because the price has gone sky high for these two precious oils and frankly I think they can be better utilized in pure blends for therapeutic use. If you see someone saying they do use these oils in a soap I'd think twice about believing that. Which is also why you don't see us selling rose soap using essential oils - rose absolute and rose otto both sell for well over $200 for 1 oz. You will, however, love the subtle fragrance of this gentle and unique soap. The certified organic botanicals of Myrrh and Frankincense do have health-giving and skin-healthy properties. By adding these powders we also give this soap a gentle exfoliating property that you will enjoy.

The first batch we made of this soap was in the fall – I’ve used this fragrance before in candles and absolutely loved its fresh, warm, homey, inviting fragrance. Reminds me of our wassail that we make each Thanksgiving, but really better. I’ve come to love it’s fragrance year round and so have our customers. We use real organic cranberry seeds frankly because we like the way they look, but truly they contribute a gentle, but effective exfoliating property to the soap.

A favorite with men and women – very sophisticated clean fragrance, uplifting and light. Contains pure 75% dark cocoa which adds a powerhouse of antioxidants for healthier skin. All of our soaps make great pet shampoo bars. We have one customer who grooms all of her male dogs with the Bamboo & Teak, and all of her female dogs with the Lilac & Lace – she says her customers love it too.

Another light scrubber – very effective, but gentle enough for even sensitive skin or facial skin. Cinnamon is a great natural antibacterial and we’ve added the powder and essential oil, as well as organic oat bran which has been shown to have natural beneficial properties for the skin. It also smells really, really nice. Please note we use cinnamon leaf and not cinnamon bark oil, which is not recommended for use on the skin.
