Handy, large, long-lasting 4 oz. Bar Shea Butter Soap
DESCRIPTION:
Handmade cold-process soap made with shea butter, coconut oil and olive oil - all certified organic. We did not use any sandalwood essential oil in this soap. Sandalwood is an endangered species and using that oil in a soap would not only be wasteful but extremely expensive. We have substituted certified organic red sandalwood powder and a subtle hint of sandalwood fragrance that we believe is a much better environmental choice. We do not sell sandalwood essential oil nor encourage the use of this oil; however, we have received samples to test of oils from Hawaii and Australia. I'm liking them - a lot, so we'll see. These newer oils are not considered from endangered trees.
INGREDIENTS:
Certified organic shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii), saponified oils of certified organic coconut oil (Cocos nucifera), certified organic extra virgin olive oil (Olea europaea), sandalwood powder, organic dark cocoa, phthalate-free fragrance.
SAFETY/USAGE:
Well, seriously, this is becoming my new favorite soap. Such a warm, comforting fragrance. There aren't the naturally inherent properties that you receive from true sandalwood essential oils, but the scent is probably slightly stronger and still so soothing. I recommend this one for use in a bath so you can have the luxury of sitting in the middle of all this wonderful scent.
