This is the balm I created and used when I was working full-time as a nurse. By the 2nd hour of my 12-hour shift, my hands were actually cracked and bleeding from the alcohol gels and liquid hand soap provided by the hospital, which were, by the way, antibacterial by the use of Triclosan – a bad ingredient that contributes to antibiotic resistance (but another story, for another time). The ingredients in this all-purpose balm have been well-researched and proven to be effective for eczema, psoriasis, chapped skin, diaper rash and even hemorrhoids. NO artificial fragrances included, only pure essential oils, organic when we can find them and organic oils & botanicals. We’ve added natural Vit E and some essential oils that have antiseptic, antibacterial properties. I’ve found this balm to be extremely effective for any dry areas, particularly after gardening or having my hands in water for an extended period of time, another thing nurses and any medical personnel have to do a lot. The formula is simple, the ingredients time-proven for their multi-purpose. I think the best way to use it is at night before going to bed, just cover your hands with the balm, and then cover your hands with a sock or a glove to enhance the absorption – works amazingly well.
