Includes Certified organic Chamomile, Calendula & Helichyrsum flowers infused in certified organic extra virgin olive oil. We’ve been infusing our own organic oils – using certified organic extra virgin olive oil and organic botanicals. By doing this we know that the oil has been infused at the highest level possible to extract all the beneficial properties. We go above and beyond the normal and infuse the oil longer and at low temperatures.

Calendula is an important folk medicine plant, often used for treating inflamed tissue. During the Civil War, doctors used calendula leaves to treat open wounds on the battlefield. Calendula flower is among the most soothing of herbs for salves. Herbalist Aviva Romm, author of Natural Healing for Babies and Children (Crossing Press, 1996), uses it along with chickweed (Stellaria media), plantain (Plantago spp.), comfrey (Symphytum officinale) and chamomile (Matricaria recutita) to soothe children’s skin. There is a study of calendula for wounds that showed it to noticeably stimulate physiological regeneration and skin healing. Then top all of that - we also add the essential oils of high altitude Lavender, Tea Tree, Roman Chamomile and German Chamomile - all well known for their comforting, anti-inflammatory and healing properties.

We have certain family members (who will, of course, remain anonymous) who have issues with smelly feet, hot feet and itchy feet. So – we decided we’d better do something about that – hence our “Fresh Feet” product line. The organic aloe vera, witch hazel and cooling essential oils used in this spray give immediate relief. These essential oils are also well-documented for their antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties. Your friends in the locker room will appreciate this as well.

What you might not know is that this particular blend of essential oils is also well-researched as being a stimulant for the brain making it easier to study, stay awake or just start your day energized. The prices of the true (unadulterated and undiluted) essential oils of Myrrh and Frankincense have increased drastically in just the past year and adulteration has, therefore, entered the marketplace. We do purchase the highest quality of these two essential oils and use them in our facial products, but feel that they are too expensive to use in our soaps. To make up for this, we've added a hefty amount of true Myrrh and Frankincense powders, plus a tiny amount of fragrance. This result is a soap that is pure, warm, mellow classic Myrrh that also has all the benefits of being particularly skin friendly and beneficial for dry, chapped or mature skin.  Of course, these two precious oils are very sacred and special for Christmas. This would make a really nice gift for someone special. When I was trying to decide how to color this soap, I really didn’t know for sure how it would turn out. We only use natural colorants, so I wasn’t sure I could pull this off! This was also our first try at using this particular fragrance oil in soap. It’s been one of our Christmas favorites and best sellers in our candles for years. The fragrance is a blend of fruit and spice and just simply smells like Christmas. I think it turned out better than I even expected and makes me think of the Three Wise Men – I think it’s the royalty of the purple and the brown swirls remind me of the manger. As are all of our soaps, this soap is made with 100% certified organic oils and butters – 30% shea butter to be exact! Many years ago when we first started making candles, I stumbled upon this very special fragrance. It is a fragrance oil, not an essential oil, but for a wash-off product, we felt it was especially nice for a Christmas soap. It will smell nice even just sitting in your bathroom, but I think you will very much enjoy this nostalgic fragrance each time you use it. The soap is, as are all of our soaps, made with 30% certified organic shea butter and wild-crafted, organically grown yucca root that we harvest and process ourselves. This is what sets our soap apart from any others you will use. Your skin will feel soft and smooth, but clean, not dry or flaky like other chemical-laden soaps do. This is a limited edition and will only be available during the Christmas & Thanksgiving Seasons. It’s been a tradition in our family to have a version of Wassail for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The base is just plain old apple cider that is then simmered with fresh cranberries, oranges, cinnamon sticks, clove buds and brown sugar. This soap smells just like our house smells when this is on the stove. Not “true” aromatherapy in the sense that it contains both a fragrance oil and essential oils, but aromatherapy in the sense that it brings back memories of home, hearth, loved ones, friends and family.
